scattered in many colours

about the neighbourhood

my daughter and her bunny have been bringing smiles throughout the neighbourhood, teenagers bring such joy! My yard is full of a bazillion kids and none of them are mine! I am enjoying my

What's the Word Bird?

what are my words?

warm
accepting
peaceful
supportive
joyous
rambunctious
community
art
children
education
romance
divine
sacred
fearless

I read this idea of having a 'word' in Elizabeth Gilbert's fabulous memoir "Eat, Pray, Love" still one of my favorite books of all time

I loved the idea and at some point it planted itself in me, and grew

Fearless ~ by C Moore age 15 water colour in progress

A single word can inspire. A single word can invoke,
awaken,
revitalize

reaching out to life

together we are one,fear-

less, sacred, divine

L'Orto

sun, rain, dirt, insects

earth's abundance, holy ground

breath of life

I want my children to know what they are eating

to know that food comes from the ground, the farm..

that real food is slow, takes time to grow, to prepare, to eat

I want them to dirty their hands in the soil

to grow a small patch every year

to feel the sun and rain and cloud cover overheard

Tomorrow's Tomatoes

Our many Goddesses ~ by L Moore

tiny, tender, earth's

greening shoots; primavera

tomorrow's garden

Today the kids and I hoe,
laughing, stretching out, digging deep
spring awakens an inner vigour;
a need to plant, to be one with the earth,,
a great joy from depths within

and so the cycle begins again,
planting, growth, abundant harvest

honouring her,

this month of May

Are We There Yet?

new day's dawn awaits
opportunity refined
outline a fresh path

the new year is well underway for most, but i am still honing my path..
never too late to get on with it!

Peter Bregman at hbr blog network suggests that successful people should have 2 lists, a focus list and an ignore list, but not in that order..
"what am I willing not to achieve?
what doesn't make me happy?
what's not important to me?

then can one can ask the complimentary set of questions

what am I trying to achieve?
what makes me happy?
what's important to me?"

a new day, a new month, a new year it's a great time to visualize a plan, to start fresh, to add a few new colours to my palette..

In January for several years i have collaged my goals, a simple and elegant tool, So, it's February, no time like the present!
I pulled out some magazines, the scissors and glue, grabbed my teenagers, because this is a wonderful habit for young adults too, and thought about these questions as we collaged. Thought about our truths, what was important, and threw it all out there onto paper.

Go about this project with intention. It is very powerful. Warning, if you use a poster expect to want to fill it, this can be somewhat consuming, in a good way, and you can always use smaller paper!
busy, busy, busy
we've missed you!
